To create cube, click on new. Name the cube and select the created flow table or table that is ingested from the DB.
In Date column mapping select valid date column and select format type of that date column. It may be in timestamp like EPOCH_MILLISECOND or EPCOH_SECOND. Sometimes date column may be in YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss or DD-MM-YYYY or MM-DD-YYYY formats. In this case you can manually mention the date format.
Now it’s your job to segregate dimensions, measures and date dimensions. In measures, Cube automatically creates average aggregations. You can create your own aggregate measures like count, sum, distinct etc.
Segregation of Dimensions, Measures and Date Dimensions
In above cube columns like account id (dimension), customer id (dimension), branch id (dimension) and funds available date (date dimension) are added under measure dimensions. Because those columns are in integer or bigint type. So, it automatically pushed under measure dimensions.
Now you need to segreagate dimension columns under dimensions and date columns under date column mapping. Remove it from measures and add it to their respective dimensions.
Already amount_avg aggregate got created automatically. Now let’s create amount_sum aggregate manually.
Name the newly created aggregate measure column. Select measure column and aggregate function.
In this way you can create new aggregate measure column. Can also create new measures by using expressions.
