Cube represent multi-dimensional view of data. It comprise of measures and dimensions. Measures are facts of data for e.g. total sales. Measures or facts represent data that can be aggregated. Dimensions are used to bucket or group the measures for e.g. by country, city, and region. There can be multiple dimensions in a cube. Example like total sales by country. Here total sales is a measure, country is a dimension. By choosing country as dimension we can see the total sales by country. We can also look at total sales by not choosing any dimension. Usually Cube has at least one date dimension.
By choosing dimensions and measures on your cube you are looking at the measures which are bucketed or grouped by those dimensions.

Mapping defines the basic attribute of a Cube like its name, database and table. It also list the date mappings of the cube. You must specify at least one date mapping. You can add new mappings with the Add button.
List the date dimensions of the cube. You can add new date dimensions using the Add button.
List the dimensions of the cube. You can add new dimensions using the Add button.
List the measures of the cube. You can add new measures using the Add button.
